The transition from playing by the current rules to playing by our own happens once we have reinvested enough money into the community to be producing excess resources for the community. Once we are producing more than enough food for all of our members, have acquired a number of essential resources in excess and are able to distribute them effectively, we will create our own currency and withdraw our bank from the current economic system completely.

There are now two self-sufficient economies to choose from. The Alternate Economy will no longer care what the rules are in this current economy. The currency we create will be printed out of thin air and the value of it will be the one we assign to it. It will be used as a tool to help facilitate trade within the community, and nothing more. If we need to trade with the outside world, we will do so by trading our excess resouces for their resources. If they insist on "buying" them with their "dollars" we will "sell" them our excess resources and "buy" back the ones we need with the "dollars" we received from them. We will keep doing this, only selling the excess and never depleting our production, until we no longer need anything from the outside world.

At that point they can keep their interest and their inflation and their banks that need to be profitable. Our community will understand that a bank is an institution, with no feelings or family to support. If it is always at a lose, we will not care, because our currency will do what we tell it to and not the other way around. The rules about money will now be different. The rest of the world can worry about profitability and exchange rates and inflation. We will worry about using the currency as a balancing agent that maintains the community's wealth equally, rather than sending wealth constantly upwards towards the person who is already wealthiest.
